One brand, one method, limits we own.
TakeBack builds habit-change apps. The first subject is nicotine; the next are pornography and loneliness. The brand is published by Syntrix, a French sole trader.
What we care about
No moralising
A relapse is met with "it happens", and the button is called "I vaped", not "I failed". Nobody ever changed a habit because an app shamed them.
Honesty, including when it costs us
When vaping removes combustion without being harmless, we write it. When a statistic rests on two attempts, we show "not enough attempts yet" instead of a flattering percentage.
Concrete rather than enthusiastic
No "transform your life". Numbers: 1,201 puffs avoided, €24.03 saved, your hardest hour is 6 pm.
Privacy as a feature
No advertising, no advertising identifier, no resale, eleven Android permissions, and an account deletion that genuinely erases everything, server included.
The publisher
TakeBack is a brand of Syntrix, a sole trader registered in France under SIREN 951 448 802. The TakeBack Quit Android app is published under the package name com.puffree.app — a legacy of its original name, PuffFree.
What we are not
- We are not a medical device, and we will never ask to be treated as one.
- We make no diagnosis and prescribe no treatment.
- We publish no success rate until we have something to measure honestly.
- Our apps are not intended for minors.
